I started in actuarial science, moved into data science, and have spent the last few years working with data in insurance and analytics roles. I like building things that make data easier to understand and act on.
My background is a bit unusual — I studied actuarial science for my undergrad, then went on to do an MSc in Data Science at AIMS Rwanda, which I completed with a Distinction. Along the way I also worked in insurance at Britam and Minet Kenya, so I understand how data actually gets used in business settings.
I work mainly in Python and R, and I enjoy the full process — cleaning messy data, building pipelines, running analysis, and presenting findings in a way that actually makes sense to people. I am also partially through my CIFA qualification, which has given me a solid grounding in finance and investment.
Right now I am doing a data science internship with Future Interns and working on a side project called Auto Analytics Studio — a tool that uses AI to automate the analysis and reporting process from any dataset. It is something I am building because I think it is genuinely useful.
I am looking for Data Analyst, Business Analyst, or Data Scientist roles — remote or on-site. I am based in Kigali but open to opportunities anywhere.
If you have a role that involves working with data and solving real problems, I would love to hear from you. Remote or on-site, I am open.
